Multi-tender
Loyalty
Customers today demand options from the
loyalty programs they chose to
participate in. Customers will not sign-up for programs that offer more limitations than benefits. The
concept of multi-tender loyalty can take two strategic directions;
|
1. Customers opt-in
to an ID program, where they are required to carry and show a
separate piece of identification on each visit to tie their transactions back to
their account.
2. Customers voluntarily register other payment instruments in order
to participate in a loyalty program. The customer’s private payment
information is kept secure as a part of their customer
record. In the case of a
competing proprietary card, customers are generally offered additional
incentives when they use the private-label card. |
Retailers recognize
the changing need to reward customers for shopping in their Store
regardless of how they choose to pay. |
